Overview
An unannounced multi-platform Unreal Engine 5 game in development at Meta Meow. I work on the layer between art and engine: how materials and shaders are authored, how they behave across hardware, and the tools that keep that work efficient.
My contribution
- Built material workflows across different teams.
- Modified the engine and implemented custom HLSL shaders.
- Verified rendering and performance across PC and console targets.
- Developed tools to improve team performance.
Why it matters
Shipping one set of materials across PC and consoles means every shader has to hold up on very different hardware budgets. The material workflows are built so artists can author content once, while engine and shader changes aim to keep quality and performance consistent across platforms.
More details will follow once the game is announced.
